Nstar too plugged in
Thursday, March 22, 2012
Ten thousand dollars to help low-income people is wonderful, so thanks Nstar (“Nstar gives money to outage victims,” March 19). However, CEO Tom May earned $7.9 million last year. Other top Nstar executives earned respectively $5 million, $4.1 million, $2.4 million and $2.3 million, so perhaps the utility could afford a little more than $10,000. Especially since it spends millions lobbying the state to prevent the Muni Choice bill from being enacted so Nstar can keep its monopoly.
